ok i have used some of the setting in the previuos posts .. will post some pics soon ...
basically i am observing ... i don know what is taht called ... patches on the face of people when i watch STAR PLUS HD.

you could have asked the dealer to keep the coin and asked for 200rs discount:lol:

BTW...the silver coin was mentioned on the scratch card and the coin which I got is rectangular in shape ....it has got "Panasonic Ideas for life" mentioned on it...........

Incase any issue develops in panel , do panny gues take the panel and replace with new panel or do they take our apple and give us a grape ?

Wanted to check if I get the Oppo 93 from US will be region free? or do I need to do some upgrade or anything to get it working with Indian BluRay.

They give option of 'similar' model from that particular year and remaining years warrenty on the new TV.
If they haven't released any apple that year, all you can get is grape. For eg: If you claim now, you will get only ST30. Next year if they release only X40 model, you will get only that..

But they dont have a 50vt30, so it will be 50st30. They wont give a 65incher.

it is not regionfree. u will have to get a software mod or hardware mod to make it regionfree for blurays and dvds. i dont know if there r any current software mods available, but there usually r hardware mods which will require u to open the case and make chages. at the time i got the oppo83 there were both software and hardware mods available. i chose the hardware mod because with a software mod the mod stops working with a firmware upgrade but a hardware mod is permanent. in fact there were 2 different hardware mods available at that time one which required soldering and one which didn't. i chose the one which didnt require any soldering. all i had to do was to simply disconnect a flat ribbon cable and replace it with the one supllied containing the hardware mod in the middle.
but practically speaking i think it was a waste of money, because i didny use the feature even once till date some 3yrs of use. the fact is all indian blurays are regionfree and dvds r either regionfree or region 1 ntsc for the usa.
and i buy all my english blurays or dvds from the usa. so just a waste of money in mycase.
for current mods google
I dont think they will give x40. As per my discussion they should source 50VT30 right now as ST30 is not a comparable model. Next year, VT40 or similar. They can't downgrade or we have every reason to escalate. In reality , I think they will just refund the money after few months of hard fight. 50VT30 sounds too unreal.
Panasonic has already replaced 50VT30 to people who got VT20 in the UK. Refer AvsForums.
