Finally, I booked my VT20 today, which will be delivered tomorrow to my place. Thanks to disneyschumi, who helped me locating a store with stocks and I cud get a decent price too.

Now, I need some help in setting up the TV. Just wanted to check, have the experts been able to figure out should we go for the firmware upgrade or not and any tips and tricks to get the maximum from the TV?

Go for the firmware update. No harm in it. It only changes viera cast -> viera connect.

The v20 is available with Panasonic showroom at Koramangala. He had quoted 68 with some freebies throw in.

I think it should be available even now.

All those who bought plasma panels from Croma EOK can collect their scratch cards from the store. The wall mount stands are also in stock and you can coordinate with the store for deliveries. They also had some dozen and a half warranty cards available but almost all were for LCDs, save for 5 that were for PDPs. I pointed the same out to them when I was given one. The store has asked Panasonic India to exchange the LCD warranty cards with those applicable for PDPs (much to the surprise of the chap at the other end who reconfirmed that the store had sold more PDPs than Lcd/Leds). Be careful when you collect yours and ensure that you pick up the correct ones. I have taken 3 of the pdp cards and now 2 are available at the store, more should be available shortly.

Wifi keyboards and the extra pair of 3D glasses are still pending.

no, i got the TH model, but was wondering about that review of hdtvtest.co.uk which gave the VT20 the 'reference level' ranking, which i had read sometime back. checked it again and it was TX, and hence the doubt cropped up.
