Well, Sony is the market leader in the Indian TV market. They sell more LCDs than Samsung's plasma and LCDs combined.
So there is no doubt they will be sensible with the pricing. And this year all Bravia models have a very competitive pricing, the 46HX925 is for 2 lacs when last year the 46NX710 was retailing for the same price. So its a good start really and I am sure the other models like the HX820 and NX720 will be sensibly priced.
And yes as the person above suggested, the HX820 is more than a match for the D8000. And IMO the HX925 is a level above the D8000. D8000 has so many problems and its PQ is nowhere close to HX925.
And at the person who got the demo, the HX925 needs to be calibrated properly to get the best picture. So what you saw is probably just 40% of the capability of the set. Its not well calibrated from the factory.
