ST50 Owners' Thread - First impressions, Reviews, Tweaks, etc.

Well, it has been more than 2 weeks with my ST50.I am enjoying the new world of plasma with vibrant colors(the darker picture of plasma gives a filip to the quality I think!),no pixellations on screen like lcds.
I am watching most of the time the youtube channels with my 4mbps airtel broadband. The experience is awesome.
When I watch the hubblecast channel which show deep space images, the Universe comes to life with deep black space in the background and the stars/galaxies on the foreground.Amazing.
As for burnin, I am not doing much about it.I only make sure that static images are not displayed for longer time.
NORMAL pic mode is good for youtube.
TRUE CINEMA with brightness set to +1 is very good for me.
The sound is amazing. The bass goes deeper than that of HX853.

Thanks.

Dirty screen during sports broadcast...

Hi All,

My tv has blurry screen when the camera pans while watching sports like cricket or soccer,. It has bands per my understanding and this would confirm if this is a crap product given to me.

Do you folks face this music...never had it on XT....

No GT50 thread so posting here. Bought a 42GT50 finally :)

83K without the printer. Will be delivered tomorrow hopefully (have no proof I bought it as the dealer said that the invoice will be delivered along with the TV). Financed through Bajaj FinServ (could have bought it outright but did not want to tie up the money, need to get a AVreceiver too).

Hope I don't get a demo piece as all Panasonic brand showrooms are out of ST/GT any size. Devi International seems to be the only ones having it in stock. Pros they claim, wil know tomorrow.

No harm posting here. But of course, you can start your own thread. :)

Gt50 is better but you may not need that high quality TV. Hassle as much as you can.

You get only 2K off for printer. Not very happy with that.

For finance you need an ID proof document, an address proof document and a cancelled check for the ECS. And a credit card to pay for the down payment.

Panasonic are reportedly diverting TVs to Australia and Europe and hence next lot of pieces will come after two to three weeks.

Typically Bajaj Finance charges some fee for admin and processing charges. This may be as high as 1000. Go for finance only if you cannot spare cash.

Hi,

Got my 50ST50, yesterday from Devi International for INR.96500.Enjoying the picture. Is this price ok.

You must have got one of the last pieces. When I went in the evening they were all gone.

BTW, did you get the hungama.com gift voucher/coupon? And when is your TV going to get delivered?

Yes, I was mad searching for the 50ST50 but at brand store at Kamanahalli its no-stock, but next door Sammy attracts with E8000 with Tab. Good that I did took some time to think of this sudden choice. Later yesterday morning I gave a try to Devi Int, they said they have only one left. That's it asked them to wait. Rushed there and took the Panny in my Car. Because leaving them to deliver was like unacceptable to me as if it's the last on earth. Crazy.

Installed yesterday and now having some fun.
