The Movies I Liked

Srikarkav - the dialogue and screenplay of this movie is its strength apart from the performances. My wife and I will probably never forget what Denzel teaches the debate team about the basic rules of debate.

Free DVDs

I have decided to gift my over 200 original DVDs to the members who have already contributed more then 15 times on this thread. I need some suggestions how to go about this gift, so please help me on this.

Vinay.

Well you are the owner of the DVDs and you are the one who is going to gift them away. You should decide the rules and just send a PM to who all you include in your list of awardees.

Cheers

absolutely !!! theres nothing like watching a movie on your own set up,provided you have the very best and a dedicated room , i too dont enjoy going to the theatres for various reasons already mentioned , but then when some blockbusters release (am talking abt regional lang movies tamil/telugu) i wud like to watch them sooner,, as the original dvds of hit movies releases too late and also am not too sure about the quality ,i give top priority to the quality of the dvd ------ok now i await the release of KANDASWAMY !!! and wud like to catch it in theatres

Watched Kandaswamy today. Time pass movie... ofcourse Shriya was good ;) Nothing great and new in the movie. Music was a let down except for "excuse me" song. BGM was not great.
Further the irritating thing is that they have post processed each and every frame in the movie so nothing is seen in the natural color.

Thanks,
Prakash.

Thanks for the writing, i appreciate your idea, i am looking for more better ideas to gift these 200 DVDs. :yahoo:

1. Count the number of movie posts made by people.
2. Sort them in a descending order in terms of number of movies listed by each member.
3. Make a list of 10, 15, or 20 members who will get into the list.
4. Distribute the movies into 15 or 20 sets in some order - all bond Movies, all Matt Damon Movies, etc. Alternatively you can PM each of these people and get their personal preference.
5. Get the addresses from the people short listed.
6. Pack the DVDs in small cartons.
7. Courier!

Cheers

thanks , will definetly give it a second thot on going to the theatre to watch kandaswamy

Mallanna, the Telugu version of Kandasamy.

Movie is ok, lots of gloss, but the story of Robin Hood i.e. robbing the rich to feed the poor has been done before and better too. Rajani's Sivaji was better in fact. But if you are a Vikram fan then do watch it for him, he's great in so many getups/roles. Shriya is so so, not my type, but others would love her. Movie is a bit long though and I ate twice the amount of popcorn I usually do!

hi moser,

whats your 'type'?:D

Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Connelly, Demi Moore...

Lest you think its only "phoren maal" also Genelia, Trisha, Nayantara...

And I have to mention my wife too here or else all married men know what will happen to me!!!

After years of waiting, finally got to see a good copy of "Guess who is coming to Dinner" .Was just too good. Its the story of black man and white woman wanting to getting married to each other sometime in the 60s when this was not common /accepted , and what happens when they go meet the girls parents to seek their approval. Every actor has acted brilliantly and it has some great dialogues too. Its a must see.
Got a copy of "The Graduate", looking forward to seeing it tonight.

A very good Movie. The story happens in MIT. A Professor [Kevin spacey] recruits a group of people in his class, who is good at maths and teach them blackjacket. They hit as a team in LosAngeles casinos and win huge amount of money. A good movie and enjoyable.

Thanks,
Prakash.

A Bug's Life

What to say, i felt sad that i missed this movie for so long when i watched it yesterday. PIXAR films are the best.
The way the ants make that bird to scare the grasshoppers was awesome. A very good movie to be watched with family. Good fun.

Thanks,
Prakash.

I thank you very much for the writing, i will apply some of the ideas, thanks again.

I think the exercise should be done by the respective members and not by me. There are hardly any members who are interested to avail this gift offer, i need at least 10 of them taking on to this offer.

Once members show the interest to have this free DVDs gift from me then they have to guide me with the page numbers where they have contributed more then 15 times to this thread.

The point 4 will be a difficult one to handle, i need a much easier way out so please do help me on this.
