I confirmed with Toshiba service center about 3 year warranty and it is not for namesake. I guess e-zone guy is just pushing you to buy other expensive brands.

Very Thanks to jarivk and shreyaskini for cleared my confusion. Now it is cleared that except 24 Inches model of P1300 and P2305 Toshiba provides 3 years warranty on all models of P2305 P1300 & L3300. The 1 yr warranty + 2 yr extension for Rs 799/- applicable on these 24 inch models...

I bought it for 35k from Snapdeal 4 monnths back, excellent PQ. very satisfied. Confirmed with installation guy, warranty is 3 years and I also received one Sachin Tendulkar Silver Coin from Toshiba.

When I checked 1 week back, 39L3300 was at 41k on snapdeal. Anyway I wasn't so inclined to purchase TV online.

Hi Jarivk

You should have called the customer care after booking the installation request. They courier the coin after 10 days. Also this scheme was live till Feb'14 not sure if its still there. You might want to check with CC.
For online purchase: I would like to apprise that till date I did some big ticket purchases online like laptop, Hitachi AC and recently L3300 and never faced any issue. I always follow some basic steps prior placing order -
1) Check if COD is available.
2) Check seller rating, prefer sellers in close vicinity.
3) Clear warranty conditions.
4) Check with customer care and ask questions related to seller, product condition, return policy etc. Its your money so don't be hesitant in asking questions. Sometimes its good to ask them to let you talk to their managers directly.
Good news is that Flipkart restarted selling TV online now, one of the safest site to put you money in.

I am shifting homes. So, thinking of buying a new tv. Thanks a lot for this thread. I am seriously thinking of toshiba now since my budget is about 40k. I was initially thinking of 42 inch tv. But i guess toshiba has a 39 inch tv. Does it make any difference in the finsl output. My room dimensions are almost perfect for 42 inches. I mainly use it to watch Hd movies using tata sky

How old your TV IS?
Any issue till today? How about After Sales Service?
Is it wall Mounting?
Do you blow dust etc from back-side (inside) of panel regularly (2-3 months)
Do you kept Toshiba P2305 in Room with Air condition?
Are you living near to BUSY STREET (with lots of DUST accumulated Everyday) or in DUST FREE Area

Feature wise P2305 and L3300 series are similar except the ethernet port and youtube in L3300. So I think a separate thread won't be very useful.

Almost a month since I picked this up and entirely happy with purchase.
