I have an avr which supports DTS HD and True HD and i tried playing a DTS HD movie on my tv through plex for firestick, but the sound was underwhelming. does the firestick support DTS HD or True HD through Plex? if not how can i watch movies stored on my pc wirelessly without losing audio quality?

Since you are sending data over HDMI to the AVR, the TV will have no relation to the audio quality itself. Digital signal either works or doesn't. There's no quality to it as the decode, amplification and the analog part of audio happens after your AVR receives the signal.

The TV supports DTS HD passthrough, so your AVR only will decode it. True HD will need to be converted to AAC 5.1/7.1 via transcode. Obviously nothing will work over ARC, so the firestick needs to be plugged into the AVR and signal to passthrough to the TV.

Also you'd need firestick 4k for it. Regular firestick (older one) doesn't support high fidelity audio.

While connecting my sound bar there is a weird echo, simultaneously using digital out, no solutions for me yet. I tried different options but echo still rulezz for optical out connection (Blaupunkt sound bar), 3.5 jack connection sound is perfectly aligned with speakers.

What do you mean by simultaneously using digital out?
What is out putting simultaneously?
Are you using tv speakers and soundbar at the same time?
If so, echo is expected.

If your AVR doesn't support 4k HDR passthrough, there's no way to play TRUE HD and DTS HD to your AVR without eARC (which low end TV like this don't support). Best you can do is HDMI ARC which supports Dolby Digital Plus or DTS, which are also very high quality codecs in their own right.

If you have a very high end sound system, consider investing in a better AVR since you probably have the money to do so. If you don't, just set the audio in TV's audio setting to Dolby Digital(others are reporting that other options don't work) and output to ARC. You'll still get high quality 5.1 channel audio.

Went to my biggest RD in my city and they flat out refused to provide any product from Mumbai to Nagpur saying its not allowed.
Found a distant relative in Mumbai and their pincode is serviceable.
Thinking of ordering to their address and using FedEx ship it to my place... Anyone here have any experience regarding shipping Tv? Any do's and dont's and any specific courier to avoid?

They r assembling u7980 in india now? In flipkart page assembler is shown as Dixon india.

New owners can u check whether on box it is made in india? If they r assembling now in india then in few weeks, we can expect more units everywhere.

Also looks like u8080 is also going to be assembled in india. Do Flipkart/seller mention country of origin wrong?? Anyone who purchased u7980 previously from Flipkart remember country of origin mentioned in flipkart?

Nice find, earlier Flipkart used to show PRC, they have changed it to Dixon India. TV imports were completely restricted in the past few months and only few companies were getting some waivers like Samsung as they were promising more production next year.

Now, Toshiba/Hisense can either lower the price or most probably take the option of generating more profits. The import duty was 36%, so that is a hefty saving.

I have tried to play sound through TV Speakers and also through the Sound bar, simultaneously. For 3.5 mm jack, there is no echo but for Digital out there is an echo. Not a big issue. Now the issue seems resolved after I fiddled around lip sync, and also tried SPDIF, Pass through, connected, Reconnected....

This is a good usage Szenario when you want to just add a suwoofer to the tv.

I am using 4k one.

Firestick 4k can't bitstream Lossless audio like Dolby True HD/Atmos or DTS HDMA/X when connected directly to the AVR HDMI In. It does E AC3 DD+ max. When you are playing with Plex the server will usually transcode it to AAC which is the reason why the audio quality you are hearing is not that great. You can confirm this by checking your Plex server dashboard and the AVR signal info.

Reliance prices are fixed at 48.5k white online goes around 45k.
