I got a colored lp as well (PF - Piper at the gates) but it didnt sound too good and attracts dust like anything compared to my other lps' is it better to stick to regular lp's?

see the colurs don't add or subtract SQ or even increase or decrease the dust attraction. Colured LPs are simply special editions!

Yeah but 2 lp's that I had which were non standard were more or less lousy.. so are they just a gimmick ? cheap quality ?

nope... probably just badly scratched or with damaged inner grooves.

Oh and good choice on Siamese Dream.. I have that on vinyl as well! I used to be a huge pumpkins fan when I was a teen, and SD was the first album i got by them.. i think it was in 95 If i remember correctly.
