Vinyl I am listening to...

You guys who ordered online... did you have to pay any customs on these particular vinyls or they came through normally?
Customs is levied at a little less than 30% if couriered. If opted for general mail delivery then there is a chance that you don't get taxed.

listening to hotel california!! The demo of the title song on CD pulled me into hifi - and it is great to get the vinyl and play. Wow!

Recently bought the following LPs from Singapore. Just dying to play them but that will have to wait as there is renovation work going on at home.

Rebecca Pidgeon - Retrospective

Dire Straits - Love over gold (US pressing. I should have got the UK pressing though which was also available)

Norah Jones - Come Away with Me (200 gms Classic Records - Shaizada, followed your advice :-). Hope it is good)

Spyro Gyra - Cathcing the Sun

Spyro Gyra - Incognito

Eagles - Hotel California - (Japanese pressing. I will compare it with the re-issued version and figure out which sounds better)

There is one more LP but I don't recollect its name as of now.

Will give you my feedback once I hear the LPs.

Also bought a unique stylus cleaner by Zero Dust. It is a sort of bubble made of very soft polymer. The stylus has to be gently lowered into this a couple of times It is supposed to clean very well.

I always play with dust cover down, and wash a record if it was not used for a very long time. Yesterday I was SURPRISED to see how much dust/ micro fibers were collected by the front brush of my cartridge!!!
Oh yes, I also use the antistatic dust cleaner brush before keeping the arm on record!!!

Received these today from Elusivedisc

Deep Purple - Machine Head (180 gram)

Bought these two LPs from Rhythm House, Mumbai last Sun:
1. Norah Jones, Come Away With Me (799/-)
2. Metallica, Master of Puppets (1000/-)
Nice change to listen to brand new LPs.

Rhythm House doesn't have too many titles but there was a whole bunch of Rolling Stones remasters. Plus box sets of Metallica.

I quite like "eat a peach" as well! I have that one on LP! I think i'm gonna get the same set as yours from elusive, though!

All their albums till "Brother & Sisters" were good.
The band was outstanding till Duane Allman was alive.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
