The recording is a better one.

Chittibabu - Chittibabu LP [1967]

This is an interesting pressing. Nowhere in the disk/jacket it is mentioned STEREO. But the recording seems to be in stereo. And I don't mean left channel Veena, Right channel mridangam but what appears to be real holographic stereo mix down. Flicking the Mono/Stereo switch makes hardly any difference.

Irrespective of stereo/mono this is one fantastic musical LP. The recording and pressing does full justice to the heavenly Veena playing of the late Dr Chitti Babu.

Dear Anil & aks07, to acquire this LP was a long cherished dream. Dream came true recently as one of my friend who no longer listens to LP's sold it to me for Rs 1200. From past two years i was listening to 192kHz/24bit FLAC version, LP sounds awesome :yahoo: I was introduced to Jazz few years back, now i have a small collection of 60 + odd near mint Jazz Lp's. Thanks to HFV & Audiokarma friends.

This EP of Hare Rama Hare Krishna is special because it contains the full Dum Maro Dum, with both antaras in one track. Otherwise, the song was butchered in the LP release, in two separate tracks of one antara each. Thanks for sharing the pic of the EP. Also, love the soundtracks of Joshila and Jawani Diwani.
