As far as interacting with dealers of Used Audio Gears, have only dealt with FM Hemantwaghe, infact met him for first time with requirement of an amp, from then on have become good friends & can vouch that he is a great guy to deal with, gives you all info pertaining to a gear upfront, is brutally honest on any shortcoming with the product & gives good price accordingly. Have also seen him take great pains in packing gears for out station buyers & ensures that it reaches safely with everything intact!
Highly recommend him :thumbsup:

I recently bought a Vfet Sony amp from Hemant ( this is not the Hemant Waghe on our forum )

It functions properly but when i opened the amp at my house i realised the Vfets had been replaced by some Toshiba Mofsets. So i would be wary of buying from him.

Thanks for clarification.. there was some misunderstanding and someone accused me talking "extremely rude" over phone ...later realized that was the other hemant. BTW never dealt with him - so no comments Another Hemant is resident of Malad , myself is sometimes resident of Goregaon ( nearby suberb) so that too added confusion!

Yes, I have visited him, and also bought a old Techniques cassette deck. He has good number of old amplifiers, turntables and what not. Very likeable person.

I've met Hemant Waghe ( Sanpada) and i've spoken to Hemant ( malad) . I can vouch 100% for the former ! i just have one pet peeve.... if and when you have to visit Hemant ...be prepared to walk up 11 floors.....his elevator spooked me twice and i swear never to use it again!

I became friends with hemantwaghe much before becoming his customer. He is a thorough gentleman and very honest in his used gear dealings though its more of his passion than business. If anything goes wrong unfortunately with the purchased gear, he would help you to repair it at low cost / no cost which I do not think any other dealer would openly come forward to help with.

I bought my Sansui from him recently- it was and is in great condition.

So you are the lucky guy who got the Sansui :licklips:. I had my eyes on it but when I spoke to Hemant, it was gone.

Haha sorry about that. Yes, its an awesome amp. One of the best vintage make from sansui. I had an eye on it since I heard it at HariIyer's place. It can knock the socks off many good branded amps that are sold in large volumes. Its as old as I am which people can't believe by looking at its condition! They think newer is better always.

Dev in Coimbatore, 09894018283 - his equipment is generally in good condition but there's a great possibility that you may have repaired equipment coming your way (as he undertakes repairs too). The flip side is that he is well and truly a salesman and will go to any extent to make you buy, once the payment is made, the treatment is a bit different, lots of excuses. His prices are also quite high so obviously he's making a decent cut.

Personally I have picked used equipment from our FMs and from one Mr. Mallik of Vijayawada (unfortunately I dont remember his telephone number). Mr. Malik was great to deal with and his pricing was also decent.
