Spotify hasn't been launched in India yet. There are two ways to bypass that.

1. Use a DNS proxy service like smartproxy, which many folks in this forum are using to access US based services.

2. If you have access to US based VPN server (e.g. at work), create an account and use those credentials in AVR. Spotify allows about 2 weeks(last i checked) non-US usage. You would have to login through VPN once every 2 weeks.

Avnik,

Can you please elaborate. Give me some link so that I can follow step by step process. TIA

Hi Friends,

Just received my X3100 from Amazon.de yesterday night, Had just yet taken out of the box and yet to be paired with speakers and need to be setup. Hope everything goes fine.

Hi Friends,

Just to update that amazon.de has refunded 13K back to me as customs has been reduced during past months. I was earlier charged 56K (delivered at door step).

To my surprise they had refunded 13K now. This was amazing deal for me.

Hi,

Yes indeed I got an amazing deal from Amazon.de and shipment was shipped from Italy by Denon authorised dealer. Shipment was shipped via DHL.

It took 5 days for shipment to reach at my doorstep. 3 days the shipment as in customs for clearance. They opened the box for examination of product. Same information was conveyed to be by DHL person.

Yes I needed to provide KYC. Any shipment holed up by customs needs KYC for further clearance. I will also like to point out that make sure to order your shipment on address where you don't need to pay Octroi (I ordered my shipment in Delhi as I needed to pay octroi if shipment was done to Noida - This information was given by DTDC and hence i did according to their instruction)

Hope I answered your queries.

Hi Bhavin,

Just wanted quick info, when we order on Amazon.de then customs get calculated at that point of time and remains same or less or possible that when it lands at actual customs then it might increase ?

Also as per your experience am sure you would have checked on many sites, so Amazon.de is the place to get best deal for AVRs

Thanks

Amazon will charge you whatever was in the final calculation at the time of placing the order. If the actual custom/import duty paid by the carrier (DHL/UPS etc) is higher, they will ask you to pay while delivering. You can get receipt from carrier & claim the additional amount with amazon, and they will refund the amount.

However if the actual custom paid is lower, DHL will inform amazon, and amazon will refund to the buyer.

what a wonderful customer friendly policy :)

How about ordering from Amazon.com ? I mean is there any specific reason as to choosing Amazon.de ...have seen many fm's ordering from Amazon.de site

Most important reason choosing amazon.de is the voltage standard in Europe is same as India, so you get 220 volt electronics... Everything else is same imo...

for speakers dalizensor will be good and even polk tsx series too.

for stepdown transformers , look for 1kv isolation transformers that will be good for x3100.

I just got one from amazon.de, thanks to info from ajay0722....next step is to buy the dali zensors.
I'm deciding between the sunfire SDS 12 and the velodyne impact 12. Any inputs from ur side which one I should go for?

Hi guys.

Great work for the Denon chatter...very informative...
Need your views on the Denon vs others. Im evaluating Denon X3100 (95k), Onkyo 828 (90-100K) and Marantz SR6009 (80k) for the PSB X2T FS speakers, without any power amp attached.

Here are a few considerations:

- Onkyo has a marginally muffled sound compared to Denon & the AccuEQ is not that great either. Read on issues with the HDMI boards soldering coming off due to heating for predecessor models. Yet, in terms of features (ATMOS & 135w/channel) & price on offer, Onkyo seems like a loaded option for the price.

- Marantz isnt known to be bright enough for movies though is a clear winner for music. SR 6009 is also high on features (wireless & otherwise). The upside with Marantz is the Audyssey XT, general overall reliability and will balance the sound of the PSBs. My 2 concerns - heard of issues where the unit would be "hanging" alot & that its 110 watt/channel. But "spirovious" mentions its worth the try.

- Denon AVr X3100 is fully loaded on features and is a good choice for movies & music alike. Considering its a slightly bass heavy AVR and that X2Ts have somewhat lacking bass (compared to Paradigm 11s), this may work out to be a better match. An Audyssey Gold advanced DSP & delhi based after sales service office is a big plus. Only concern - given the Marantz and Onkyo, this one is on the higher price (95k) bracket with lower output per channel 105 watts per channel. The Denon dealer says the 105 is "pure & raw output" unlike the others - whatever that means!!

Dropped the NAD option - low features & almost 1.25k

Any suggestions would be welcome on WHICH ONE IS SUITABLE - please consider the observations as well.

Big thanks to all

i am running psb x2ts on denon x3200w
