I am terribly confused here. I don't have any CD with me and only music files that I've are on my PC. The only reason why I am interested in buying this is that the device is capable of reading files off the pen drive (and the assumption that it will sound as good as a CD).
Not to mention that usability has a definite role to play here. The comfort of sitting on the couch and then controlling the music through a remote control is surely pleasing and what I am looking forward to.
The problem is the Squeezebox touch. The device costs nearly the same but the comfort is more in that. Again its better suited for my kind of music library but the problem with that thing is the NOT SO GOOD DAC.
What do you guys suggest on this one ?
I too have very few CDs, all my music is in FLAC or MP3 format. I use BriteView 5005 media player for playing from PC or USB stick or even MP3 player. I think its DAC does a good job, sound is definitely better through it than playing directly from the MP3 player to the amp.I am terribly confused here. You can connect USB pen drives and any MP3 player including iPods. The CD6003 supports MP3, WMA, AAC & WAV - so it can play most of the popular digital music formats. One question though. The spec says the USB is ipod compatible. Does it mean the USB input is only to connect iPod or can I also connect pen drives. Again if pen drives are OK, does it have to be only FAT types or also NTSC types.
Oops, sorryTeja, siva, denzong and sushant. I have a request to you guys. This discussion is going on in another thread CDP v/s SB. Discuss your hearts out there. Denom is doing a good job for guys who are interested in CDPs. Lets not spoil that.
Oops, sorry
No intention of spoiling anything - truth is I am tempted by the deal and trying to talk myself out of it![]()
