Been away the whole day looking at all sorts of options & ways to make this work, with a breakthrough finally achieved through increase in volume. Now that I see the effort of mine has gathered momemtum, its time to reveal the fruits of my labour

NOW FELLOW HFV'IANS DO NOT BACKTRACK AS THIS IS ONE HELL OF A DEAL PAINSTAKINGLY PUT TOGETHER. NEED A MINIMUM ORDER OF 25 U/TS & TO BE CONFIRMED BY THIS WEEK AS THAT IS THE WINDOW GIVEN TO ME.

THIS IS BEING WORKED OUT DIRECTLY BY DISTRIBUTOR WHO WILL SHIP THE UNITS FROM SINGAPORE & DELIVER TO RESPECTIVE BUYERS CITY THROUGH THEIR OWN TRANSPORT NETWORK.

THE ENTIRE AMOUNT TO BE PAID UPFRONT IN MY ACCOUNT (DISTRI WANTS ME TO COLLECT THE ENTIRE AMOUNT IN ONE SHOT & THEN COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION)

Being asked foll questions:

1) Q - Will I be able to demo the units before purchase ?
A - NO, the units will be checked @ singapore prior to shipment & then one has to collect it from the transporters premises in the buyers respective city.

2) Q - What about warranty?
A - These units have 1 yr warranty in singapore, rarely does anything go wrong with Marantz Products - in any case when you buy from abroad you are in similar situation as far as warranty not being covered in India. So you have to take that leap of trust or pay minimum 24k in India + shipping(As confirmed by that distributor I wrote about in earlier thread) & buy with Indian warranty.

3) Q - What about Shipping & Pick-Up?
A - The respective units for each buyer will be shipped by the nominated transporter to the buyers city & then buyer has to pick it up from the transporters premises (addresses of each transporters location in respective city will be notified once the 25 orders is confirmed)

Hi Ali,

Pls also note that there is NO Mumbai dealer/middleman involved here. That is the only way we can get the CD6003 @ this price. The CDp's will arrive from singapore & then be shipped directly from point of clearance depending where it arrives (mumbai or chennai port) through the designated transporter. Hence the further cost savings.

Hope this clears the matter further.

i would like to back out from this as i am going ahead with my vinyls passion. going ahead with a new amp and a new tt (still keeping the old set). therefore not much of use for this excellent machine. no point in buying to just keep it.

I got this quote from official dealer here in bangalore as I was planning to buy one.

PS: Can somebody tell how easy it to playback mp3 from USB when I have multiple folders.

The only reason I am moving away from MODified Oppo is this annoyance of navaigation with 32GB memory disk without HDMI output.

On my Car Piooner player its quite easy to jump between folders through single remote press.

As far as I understand the distributor is getting it directly from Singapore. So if the custom clearance is happening in Mumbai itself, octroi is not applicable for Mumbai delivery.
Also the rates quoted should be custom inclusive
