Where did you get the quote of 48K in Bangalore. Today when I enquired all the panasonic brand shops in bangalore, almost everybody told me 55k with 2 no of 3d glasses,wirlesskeyboard,3years wrranty, and in one shop they told 49.9 with one 3d glasses,wireless keyboard and 3y warranty.

CONFIRMED!!! sneaked into the brandshop nearby on my way home and clearly saw Neo PDP and Infinite on the bezel. GT20 looks awesome too

Wow ..Wonderful pricing ...Here in Hyderabad, the pricing is much higher ...Had called a few shops ...One guy said 99K. Another panasonic brand shop said 70k..When I told him of Bangalore prices, he conveniently said no stock ...Will try to check in some more shops ...

Buddy.. Did you check with Adishwars?? They gave me best pricing for 50V20 which is 70k in hyderabad. I am sure if you stand there with cheque book he will come down to 65k also.

They also match bangalore adishwar's prices. Check the GT20 prices in Adishwar bangalore and ask them to price match.

Thinking about it, 50V20 for 65-70k is more economical than 42GT20 @55k. V is a higher end series and is 50".. All this for 15k more.. Honestly, I saw some 3D stuff on my 50VT20 and felt the screen size to be puny . 42" will be very very small for any useful 3D effects IMO. So 42GT20 is gonna be used >95% for 2D viewing. If you are serious on 3D, anyway you got to upgrade. That makes 50V20 good VFM.

Not to mention 50VT20 available with 2 glasses for 80k with 0% finance if you are keen on 3D.

I just want a good 2D TV. As 42V20 is not available am looking at the next best. ST is out of my budget and so GT is on the radar. Only issue is absence of NeoPDP on this model.

But when I ask Mr. Ramesh, panasonic brand shop, he told me that it is not neo PDP but other shops they told that it is of neo pdp, got confused.

I know there has been a lot of confusion on this issue. However, the Panasonic Brandshop guy confirmed this to me and I personally saw this mentioned on the bezel sticker, which was clearly showing the features for G series!

Panasonic is too reputed a company to be taking customers for a ride with an incorrect depiction of specs

My understanding of the major differences between the ST30 and GT0 is the following:

1. Difference in Neo PDP panel series - series 14 on ST30 and 13 on GT20
2. Viera Connect on ST30 and Viera Cast on GT20
3. Extensive USB support for media types on ST30 and partially limited on GT20
4. Slightly improved 3D on ST30 versus the GT20 - no major improvements as such.

I don't know if there are any other major differences. Please add if you know of any.

2011 Panasonic models have "fluctuating brightness problem", should a buyer be worried , before purchasing. Google give more than 51000 results for this.

a) should the A-board be got replaced first as soon as one gets the delivery (will the showroom/brand shop people do the same) or

b)one should wait for the fluctuating brightness problem to arise and then complain.

Actually a good point for potential buyers. The best thing IMO would be to get this clarified with the dealer or directly with a Panasonic support rep, especially since this a known and acknowledged issue.

Even it is mentioned on the website. But there are differing opinions from the shops.

But when I ask Mr. Ramesh, panasonic brand shop, he told me that it is not neo PDP but other shops they told that it is of neo pdp, got confused.

Even when i spoke to Ramesh, he vehemently denied GT20 being NeoPDP.
