Yes all AVRs sound different. the ypao didnt do a good job.
The 671 is a very bright AVR, so trying out various speaker placements and settings to achieve ideal SQ.
I will say its not bright as it doesnt match well with warm speakers like wharfedale. It goes well with little bright speakers.
o-O .... hmmm ok.. must audition all of these asap )
n thanks for the info.. spirovious
on another very related note.... how are Polk Rti A7 speaker??
I have found that polk RTi speakers matches well with Yamaha,Onkyo,Denon & marantz.
I have heard the RTiA7 with Denon 1611. Its definitely a worthy speaker. It has tight bass and crisp highs. They can sing really loud without any distortion. It will do better with an integrated amp. For its price range, its a good choice for both music and movies.
any personal experience with the RTi A7 or A5 or A9 ???? I was wondering if Polk has done a good job with the floor standers.. and are they comparable to others like monitor etc ?
I have heard RTi bookshelfs with Yamaha 667 & Denon 1912 side by side,Onkyo was tested with earlier series.
ok..and how was it ??? bright... warm ??? (Now that I probably am able to figure out what that means I dare to ask http://www.hifivision.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
did u happen to hear to a 5.1 or just two bookshelves...also any chance u watch any movy with those to throw some very good sounds ?
It was 5.1 & music too.Denon has more punch than Yamaha,Yamaha didnt soud bright.Thats why I said, all AVRs go well with polk RTi series.
hmm thanx for the vital info.. will bear it in mind when am going for a demo this weekend.
Also keep in mind that Denon sound very warm compared to rest.
Yeah I found that out the hard way recently after ordering my Yam rx-A710 . now I am looking for a good set of floorstanders .. the SUB and the Center and the surround will follow in that order ...but I have an old SONY HTs sub that I am gona use along with the center may be for now..(Do you guys think its wise .... or am I gona blow anything ???? )
Hey guys.. I went to another friend of mine whose cousin's store has an RF 82 with a Denon 1912, is planning to dispose the Rf-82 for 50k is it work getting 4-6 months old ones practically new this was my offer that I am voicing out here. http://www.hifivision.com/images/smilies/licklips.gif
Any suggestions am with open ears !!!
OMG . RF-82 at 50k is a very good offer, for a 6 month old pair.
We heard Yamaha 667 with RF-62 ( if I am not wrong) at the recent Mumbai HT meet. It was not bright, just adequate highs. Aventege series are little more refined. It should be a good match for the Klipsch. Klipch and Yamaha generally go well together. Even the entry level package HDT300 with RXV371 sounded good to me. And the separates (centre/surrounds) are also easily available in reference series.
Yes if the acoustics are not in place, then in a small room of 12x12 the highs can sound little congested.
Hello everyone,
I recently (1month back) bought RX-V671 from Darty in France during my business trip, it was working fine till last nite. It's not powering on now, but the Pure direct light glows.
Now my question,
1 - Is my 671 bought is france is covered under warranty in India, i have the bill and warranty card
2 - Any others having the same problem, i understand from the trouble shooting sheet in the manual, the system gets disabled when the Protection circuit has been activated 3 times consecutively - can some one expalin about this ???
