any personal experience with the RTi A7 or A5 or A9 ???? I was wondering if Polk has done a good job with the floor standers.. and are they comparable to others like monitor etc ?

I have heard the RTiA7 with Denon 1611. Its definitely a worthy speaker. It has tight bass and crisp highs. They can sing really loud without any distortion. It will do better with an integrated amp. For its price range, its a good choice for both music and movies.

It was 5.1 & music too.Denon has more punch than Yamaha,Yamaha didnt soud bright.Thats why I said, all AVRs go well with polk RTi series.

Also keep in mind that Denon sound very warm compared to rest.

Yo Santy..howya been...

Well I would ve gone for it..but I have a yamaha Rx-A710 that i have to pair this with.. so...wondering about the HFE sounds...was listening to it ystrday but the demo room was small with glass on two sides... probably the reason for the HFE distortion...what do you say ? am still not able to make up my mind..is it the room that it was demoed in.. 12x12 (Because mines 30x18 approx)

We heard Yamaha 667 with RF-62 ( if I am not wrong) at the recent Mumbai HT meet. It was not bright, just adequate highs. Aventege series are little more refined. It should be a good match for the Klipsch. Klipch and Yamaha generally go well together. Even the entry level package HDT300 with RXV371 sounded good to me. And the separates (centre/surrounds) are also easily available in reference series.

Yes if the acoustics are not in place, then in a small room of 12x12 the highs can sound little congested.

Ahhh music to my ears... albeit my noobness i could feel that the room was not the right choice to check the loudness with the amount of distortion or crackling on the highs...now am just gona wait for my receiver to land....and will get right abt my business of checking all the available speakers along with the RF 82s, F30s

Hello everyone,

I recently (1month back) bought RX-V671 from Darty in France during my business trip, it was working fine till last nite. It's not powering on now, but the Pure direct light glows.

Now my question,
1 - Is my 671 bought is france is covered under warranty in India, i have the bill and warranty card
2 - Any others having the same problem, i understand from the trouble shooting sheet in the manual, the system gets disabled when the Protection circuit has been activated 3 times consecutively - can some one expalin about this ???

Well this doesn't look good..

Here is something I read

'I RX-A2000's User's Manual and went directly to the Troubleshooting section on Page 150. The first symptom listed in the troubleshooting chart is "The power will not turn on." The cause given is, "The protection circuit operated 3 times consecutively." And the remedy suggested is "As a safety precaution, when the protection circuitry operates 3 times consecutively, the capability to turn on the power is disabled. Contact your nearest Yamaha dealer or service center to request repair."

Fortunately, a nearby Best Buy store had another RX-A2000 in stock, and I was able to exchange my "bricked" receiver for a new one. Before I install my second RX-A2000, I thought I'd seek advice here on what to check before I power it up. I'm using high-quality banana plugs on Def Tech speakers, so it's highly unlikely I've shorted-out any speaker connection. My Paradigm subwoofer connects via coax cable, as is customary. I've got a cable box going to AV-1 via HDMI and an Xbox going to AV-2 via HDMI. HDMI OUT-1 goes to my 65-inch Samsung LCD TV. A Squeezebox Duo connects to AUDIO-1 via optical. Other than AC power, the only other connection is an Ethernet patch cable into my home's local-area network.'

Well the user says its Bricked.. so be prepared for the worse... but also you can contact some local dealers for some assistance...Dont lose hope .. and srry about ur receiver :(
