Yes, you have observed right. :) I was more on the LED side and had posted lots of lines on plasma power consumption but finally .....as I told "brainwash" :) that is where you guys have helped me in making a decision. I think apart from natural picture quality another key driving point was the 3 year warranty. I will post some reviews after it is delivered. And after bugging lot of members here on PM I was able to convince myself that
1. the 410Watts power input is peak and not something that is already used, optimum settings somewhere I read brings this down to 186 Watts.
2. Burn in and IR is something which is not present in the manner how it is marketed everywhere and in cases the same can be present in LEDs as well if the panel is abused.
3. Pic quality speaks over all.
4. Warranty speaks over all, LG 50PK550 was available for 60K but add to tht 2nd and 3rd yr of extended warranty and the additional cost is around 17K which takes the total cost to 77K. Then add to that the pic quality of v20 and the incentive pays off. I demoed the U20 and V20 side by side and was able to make the V20 as selection.

congrats olly on your new purchase. One question.. did you get the word cup scratch card offer? my dealer said it will only come after 1 week since they are out of stock.

Haisaikat I am getting my billing done on Monday that is when I will get my scratch card but what I got to hear is that you mostly end up with Some crappy watches ;-) So I am not that excited but then you never know when lady luck would shine down on you. Its long overdue in my case ;-)

I heard the same as well from my dealer. But anything for free is not bad :)

Is V20 a plasmaTV? Is it better than SONY EX720 3D LED TV? Pls tell me about it as I am in the verge of buying an EX720

the panasonic service center guys came over to my home today for installation, truly the 50v20 is HUGE... since my eyes were used to 21inch crts earlier. Checked from the service menu that the historical tv usage was around 15 mins. So am relieved to find that this is a not a demo piece :)

Haisaikat that is Good News Congratulations once again and yes it is BIG :) I am getting my installation done tomorrow

Dude, i hope u did\do the following for ur toy:

1) Get a nice Voltage Stabilizer ( VG Crsytal ) u need one with atleast 3 amps or more if u are connecting any other device as well to it...
2) A surge protector , which preferably is plugged to the mains directly and the stabilizer then takes power from it..
3) Keep some microfiber cloth handy for cleaning when required, dont let the maid's do that :D
4) And oh dont forget to buy one of those popcorn makers

Which is the menu item for tv usage? I couldn't find it in the service menu. I guessed it was AGING. But AGING shows a bright pink screen with nothing on it.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
