Hi Friends, I need a small help. I am not able to bookmark internet radio channels on my Yamaha RX-A820. Have anyone of you tried and tested the same.

Did you mean Thomsun musicals? Their price is always on higher side compared to other delaers in blr.
Couple of months back they quoated 31k for 373.
Price of 475 should be around 36 - 37k maximum.
For speakers you can check from Wharfedale, Dali, Tannoy etc

Hi guys, I need some help. I have RXV 373 which I hooked up with recently purchased Q Acoustic 2000i. The speaker sounds awesome but at high volume, at around -10db, the center speaker sounds bit jarring, especially when there is gun battle scene or helicopter hovering sounds. I checked cable connection at the back of the speaker it seems okay. I changed the levels of the speakers and also the distance, there seems to be some improvement. Can you guys help me out to resolve the issue?
It is distorting which simply means that you are driving your system harder than they can handle. Try changing the size settings of speakers from large to small in AVR and increase the crossover level to say 140 hz. It should give a considerable relief from distortion.

Thanks santy for quick reply. My speakers are set to small. I will increase crossover to 140hz and check. Whats the difference between normal sub setting and reverse sub setting?

I'm new on this forum and live in Iceland. Can't say I'm a audiophile. Just recently I bought Yamaha RXV 475. Very happy with it so far. My tv-room is rather small so 5-1 is enough for me.
I'm using old Infinity speakers in front, 61Mk-II if I remember. The front and back are Sansai or name somthing like that, very cheap looking and "feeling" speakers. The sub is nice one I think, JBL ES250.
What do you recommend for me for back en middle in this home theater?
Also. Should I update the bios and is it somehow troublesome?

Welcome to HFV.
Do you have a centre speaker? If not, it may be all that you need for now.
And may be a pair of better speakers than your existing ones for surround channels.
There is no firmware update you need for your AVR (if that's what you mean).

I have a rxv 467.
Suddenly output thru HDMI 2,3,4 i am getting only audio out.
However hdmi 1 is working fine.
Is there some resetting that can be done or cleaning .
Have tried interchanging cables .

Rom Error on V671
Hello guys,
Seems my V671 is bricked.It is giving Rom Error on startup, neither does it allow me to do a factory reset I tried updating the firmware to 1.47(latest) through usb but after 10 mins,it gets stuck at S5-1 Erasing stage.
Tried looking for older firmware but could not find it over the net.Do I have any option now other than visiting service centre?

Did the ROM error start after you tried to update the firmware?
The below links gives the recovery method for such cases. Though 671 is not mentioned the same method might apply.

I got this error after a cold start,it wasnt during firmware update.
I already tried above but its not working.

Hi Santy,
I changed speakers to small and increased crossover level to 140hz. It seems okay when I'm playing blue ray movies but when I play downloaded movies (some of them), jarring sound still comes, specially when its heavy bass sound.
Another issue I am having after setting up my new HT room, whenever I restart my Yamaha avr and PJ, there won't be any sound only picture comes. Then i have to go to function control in my AVR settings and switch off and on. Then the sound comes. This was not the issue earlier when I had HT setup in another room. I might have done some wrong setting. Please help me out.

Hi, any news or solution for your problem with ROM ERROR? I have a RX-A810 and got back from holiday, switched on and TV was showing orange screen. Switched off the mains for the whole lot and back on again. Then got the ROM ERROR message. Also tried doing USB Flash Update and get stuck on S5-1:erasing...

I updated to the latest frimware on my yamaha rxv 675 ( went from 1.18 to 1.20) and now am not able to access internet radio or airplay.... Getting "ACCESS ERROR"
any chances i can downgrade back to old firmware???
