Gone through the initial impressions
1. The crossover frequency does not affect the lower limit of frequency for speakers which have been set 'Large'. Fronts set to 'Large' means all the frequencies are being sent to the fronts. Crossover redirects the low frequency components to subwoofer only from the speakers set to 'small'. If you want to limit the frequencies being sent to your BS fronts then set them to small manually and then set crossover frequency to either 40 or 60hz (-6db limit for Diamond 220 is 45hz), probably 40hz should be fine.
3. HDMI Audio out - Bit-stream on Pioneer BDP will send RAW (undecoded) multichannel signal to the AVR. It is fine, let the AVR do the decoding
4. Press 'Info' button on the front panel, it will switch between the information being displayed options. Select 'Audio Decoder', now you would be able to see the audio signal information Dolby/DTS etc.
5. Try switching off 'HDMI control'.
6. First switch the 'Info' of the AVR to 'Audio Decoder' and see if HDMI of D2H is already sending DD signal to AVR.
I do not have D2H so can not be sure about the settings, check if there is setting for HDMI audio like PCM/RAW, if there choose RAW, if HDMI audio does not work then coaxial, check the thread below. Post STB model number FM would help, probably post here:
